Description

DESCRIPTION: PRODUCT NO. 990 is a 100% silicone, RTV moisture cure, waterproof roof coating which forms a monolithic barrier to the effects of degradation caused by normal weathering, aging and ultraviolet exposure. PRODUCT NO. 990 has excellent durability, color stability and chalk resistance. It is typically used as a protective coating for polyurethane foam or metal and new or existing roofs.

USES: PRODUCT NO. 990 FOREVER-COAT can be directly applied over most previously coated roof surfaces as well as exposed spray polyurethane foam, TPO, or EPDM follow surface preparation instructions below.

SURFACE PREPARATION: All surfaces to be coated should be free of dirt, dust, chalking paint, mortar spatter, all loose rust, all loose mill scale, old caulking, grease, oil, release agents, curing compounds, laitance and other foreign matter including frost. Surfaces should be power washed with appropriate detergent and rinsed prior to coating.

On asphalt based substrates, one coat of Tucson Rubberized Coatings Product #295 Stain Blocking Primer is highly recommended to prevent discoloring.

Roof surfaces need to be clean and dry. A 20 mil thickness will skin over in about 60 minutes and have sufficient strength to walk on for application of a second coat in about 4 to 6 hours.

APPLICATION: Mixing: PRODUCT NO. 990 is supplied as a one-part coating (no component mixing necessary). Mix by an air powered agitator (300 – 400 rpm) for a minimum of 5 minutes, to ensure an even consistency of coating is obtained without air in suspension.

Application: The temperature of the surface to be coated should be between 41 and 120°F (5 and 60°C) and environmental temperature should be at least 5°F (3°C) above the dew point prior to and during application.

When working with PRODUCT NO. 990 in high humidity and/or high temperature environments, it is recommended to use a pail lid adapter fitted with an agitator. This will prevent the product from skinning over and curing in the pail during application.

It is recommended that : PRODUCT NO. 990 be applied using an airless sprayer; however, brush, squeegee or roller are also suitable methods of application. It is necessary to apply at a rate that will achieve a minimum of 20 mils (508 μm)

STORAGE: Shelf Life: 12 months from date of manufacture in the original unopened container below 90°F (32°C). Subject to re-inspection thereafter. Store in dry, shaded conditions away from sources of heat or ignition. May be stored below freezing.

CLEAN-UP: Do not allow material to remain in hoses, gun or spray equipment. Thoroughly flush all equipment with Si-COAT equipment cleaner, naphtha or mineral spirits.

DESCRIPTION: PRODUCT NO. 910 FLASHING SEALANT is a high performance one-part, moisture curing, and room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) 100% silicone flashing sealant combined with reinforcing materials to provide strong seal-ability around roof fasteners, transitions and penetrations. PRODUCT NO. 910 FLASHING SEALANT has ultrahigh strength and remains very durable. It will maintain its integrity on fasteners and penetrations with movement. PRODUCT NO. 910 FLASHING SEALANT exhibits excellent unprimed adhesion to concrete, metals and most other roofing substrates, provided they are clean, dry and free of dust and frost. PRODUCT NO. 910 FLASHING SEALANT is unaffected by sunlight (ultra-violet rays), ozone, temperature extremes, rain and snow. It has a long service life, and it was designed to perform between -60°C to 200°C (-76°F to 392°F).

USES: •Repair material for metal and SPF roofs •Seal fasteners, seams and details on low and semi-steep sloped roofs •Pipe penetrations through roof decks in metal flashings •Concrete, metal and most construction substrates •Mold and mildew resistance

SURFACE PREPARATION: All penetrations must be clean, dry and free of contaminants before PRODUCT NO. 910 FLASHING SEALANT is applied. Dust and loose particles must be blown out of the joint with oil-free compressed air, moving only in one direction. An oily surface may reduce adhesion.

APPLICATION: Always test adhesion before applying to different substrates. PRODUCT NO. 910 FLASHING SEALANT is ready-to-use and requires no mixing or additives. Apply PRODUCT NO. 910 FLASHING SEALANT to roofing substrate, fastener or penetration using appropriate caulking gun, brush, trowel, joint knife or plastic spatula to achieve a uniform membrane over the transition surfaces. Top coat with PRODUCT NO. 990 FOREVER-COAT Silicone Roof coating when dry to touch. PRODUCT NO. 910 FLASHING SEALANT can be applied in a single coat. Spread uncured PRODUCT NO. 910 FLASHING SEALANT to extend a minimum of 4” (100 mm) over the surface of the roof. Regularly monitor wet film thickness during application to ensure adequate uniform coverage. Coverage may vary depending on application technique and nature of substrate. Curing begins as soon as the sealant comes in contact with air. Application at temperatures below 4°C (40°F) will slow curing, while increased levels of humidity will aid curing. Tooling should be done before skin-over takes place. Remove wet material from application/spreading tool with a rag before the material cures. Carefully use appropriate cleaning agent, such as citrus solvent or odorless mineral spirits, to remove cured material from tools. For best results, follow precautions on packaging.

DESCRIPTION. Enviro-Coat Roof Coating is a 100% acrylic roof coating that creates a durable sun reflective coating. The high reflective value of this acrylic topcoat helps to reduce interior temperature and protects the roof and roofing membrane by reducing heat absorption, asphalt oxidation and rapid thermal dimensional changes. It also decreases the chance of excessive loads being placed on cooling equipment.

USES. Enviro-Coat Roof Coating is specially designed to provide a tough weather resistant and decorative finish for mobile home tile and bituminous roof surfaces. This acrylic topcoat may be used over degreased or weathered aluminum, galvanized steel, primed steel, treated unweathered or weathered concrete. It can also be used on cured cold applied asphalt coatings, smooth surface roofings, and most prepared mineral surfaced roofings. This product can be directly applied over most previously white-coated sound roof surfaces.

SURFACE PREPARATION. A clean surface is absolutely essential for proper adhesion of this acrylic topcoat. In order to ensure a clean surface, follow these instructions.

(1) Previously coated surfaces: All dirt and unsound accumulations must be removed. Thus, you can use TSP to remove any mildew or algae which may be present. Rinse with water. Where necessary, use a broom and high pressure water hosing in order to clean the base surface. Allow water to completely dry before proceeding. Roof substrate must drain within 48 hours.

(2) Built-up Roofing: Must be 6 months or older. Clean and prime first with 1 gallon per 100 square feet of PRODUCT NO. 210, before application of finished white surfacing.

(3) Granule Surface: Must be clean, sound surface with no loose or foreign material.

(4) Rusty metal must be cleaned with a wire brush and primed with PRODUCT NO. 101. Asphalt primer prior to application of PRODUCT NO. 210 emulsion and PRODUCT NO. 302 Enviro-Coat Roof Coating. All fasteners must be tightly secured or replaced and encapsulated with PRODUCT NO. 501-W Patching Compound. In addition, all roof seams and flashings must be covered with PRODUCT NO. 501-W Patching Compound and membrane reinforcement.

APPLICATION. Stir in container until uniform in color and consistency. For Brushing: Use a soft nylon bristle broom or brush and apply with long even strokes. Avoid over-brushing. Do not attempt to retouch while film is drying. Wait until cured before applying second coat. For Roller: Medium to long nap for textured or rough surfaces. For Spray: Airless spray system with a minimum working pressure of 3000 PSI. Coverage rates will vary depending on porosity of surface as well as roof pitch. One coat can suffice, however, two coats are recommended for maximum reflectivity, durability and life cycle. Recommended application is two coats applied at right angles to previous coat by brush, roller or spray. First coat must dry before second coat is applied.

During application, keep tools clean and free from coating build up by rinsing frequently with water. Do not apply over uncured cold applied asphalt coating, wooden shingles, shakes, flood coats of hot melt asphalt or coal tar, or bare or rusted steel. Asphalt must be dull, not glossy. Do not apply unless temperature is 50°F and rising. Do not apply when rain or frost is forecast within 24 hours after application. In addition, conditions of high humidity will prevent curing in the usual four hours. Avoid heavy foot traffic.

RECOMMENDED COVERAGE RATES. (1) Mineral Surfaced Roll Roofing – 3 gal/ 100 sq. ft.; (2) Metal Roofing – 1 to 2 gal/100 sq. ft.; (3) Concrete Tile or Smooth Roll Roofing – 1.5 to 2 gal/100 sq. ft. (4) Re-coats 2 gallons per 100 sq. ft.

KEEP PRODUCT FROM FREEZING.

DO NOT APPLY TO ANY SURFACES THAT CONTAIN SILICONE.

CLEAN-UP. Use soapy water in order to clean brushes, tools and other equipment immediately after use. However, dried film may require paint remover.
